As I gaze across the breathtaking horizon
The water glistens from the faithful sun’s arisen
Waves twinkle toe into the sandy shores
Children play, parents relax and ambitious paddlers dip their ores
Deep rich forest surrounds the lake
The majesty of it all makes my heart ache
Waskesiu beach has its own special ebb and flow
There is no other place I would rather go
A cool refreshing swim or jump in the deep
Awakens all my goosebumps from being fast asleep
The warm wet sand is my bed in the sun
Pails and shovels for building castles, are just plain fun
The pleasure and experience of it all make my mind soar
What must heaven be like? a question I adore
Goodness, perfection, love and light
In the wonder of our God, I again delight
The true blue vastness showcases your glory and power
And reminds us of the depths of your grace, every day and every hour
